To make the devices drop-proof, we offer a wide range of accessories for carrying and protecting them. It's easy to lose a stylus or break a battery cover due to improper opening. An accessories shop also offers replacements for these inconveniences. In the case of printers, the print head can be replaced if a defect occurs. An adapter with a USB connection for the cigarette lighter is the first choice for charging data recording devices in cars or lorries.
Drop-proof to protect the devices
Although most mobile data capture devices can survive a fall from a height of eighty centimetres or more without damage, it can be useful for the user to be able to protect their device with a protective cover. Manufacturers of mobile data capture devices such as Honeywell, Zebra and Datalogic therefore offer practical protective covers for their devices, which in most cases also allow the user to continue working with the device. Various straps and belts are also available to prevent the device from being dropped. The devices can be worn on the arm, hung around the neck or attached to the back of the hand so that both hands are free for work. Various clips can also be found in our accessory finder, which can be used to attach the devices to a trouser belt or belt pocket.
Mobile becomes stationary
The advantages of a mobile MDE device over a stationary device stop where the activities take place within a small working area. For repetitive processes in confined spaces, devices are available for mobile data collection devices that turn the mobile part into a stationary one. These include table stands in a wide variety of designs as well as wall mounts specially designed for the device. The advantage of the mostly very ergonomically designed table stands is that they can still be moved even after they have been combined with the data collection device, in contrast to a permanently screwed wall mount.
Replacement for the battery
While stationary data collection devices are operated using a mains adapter, which is of course included in the accessories box of all major suppliers in the event of a defect, mobile MDEs are usually operated using a rechargeable lithium-ion battery (Li-Ion). However, being constantly online at work (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) puts a strain on batteries. Many charging cycles weaken the battery performance over time. This is why replacement batteries are available as accessories from all well-known manufacturers of mobile data recording devices.
Replacing cables
In order to integrate both stationary and mobile data recording devices into the system, the accessory shops offer all suitable cables. From simple USB connection cables or network cables to various adapters, everything is available. Even the always bulky-looking connection cable for the RS232 interface with the two screws is on offer. If a PC, projector or monitor is to be connected, the accessory shops also stock so-called IEC power cables. We also offer adapters for interfaces for label printers.
The range of accessories for data capture devices is so extensive that it is easy for the user to find the right one to make the work process as convenient as possible. There are also all kinds of spare parts on offer for all eventualities, should something break unexpectedly, so that the data capture device can be used again promptly. As digital data capture has become the standard in many areas of the economy, accessory shops are an indispensable element in being able to help quickly and promptly.
